BIOGRAFÍA

Está
considerado
como uno de los mejores autores de novela histórica
sobre temas marítimos , es el más vendido en
Gran Bretaña.

Trasladado
el regimiento de su padre a Singapur vive su infancia con
él. Por su profesión de mayor le lleva a viajar
por el todo el mundo.

Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial sirvió en la Marina
Inglesa participando en varias batallas, en una de las cuales
fue hundido su barco y tuvo que ser rescatado de las aguas
del Mar del Norte tras permanecer once horas a la espera de
los servicios de rescate.

Acabada
la guerra
se dedica profesionalmente a la literatura como escritor de
novelas, escribiendo unas 50 novelas muchas de ella inspiradas
en sus experiencias en la mar.

Tras
10 años del inicio de su carrera de escritor, a instancias
de su editor americano empezó a escribir novela histórica
basada en la marina inglesa del siglo XVIII. Así comienza
la colección sobre la vida del personaje Richard Bolitho,
colección que desde el principio firmó con el
seudónimo de Alexander Kent.
